The Reef Ball Foundation is delighted to collaborate with Martin County to form a stellar habitat restoration project. The Reef Ball Foundation places a high priority on community based restoration projects and your outline demonstrates that the goals of your project place a strong emphasis on community involvement and raising environmental awareness, along with the actual restoration. We find our projects are much more successful when community collaboration is intertwined with Reef Ball projects. In that, the community takes ownership in the program and it raises the local communityís awareness of the importance of preserving our marine ecosystems. We are also excited that your project is two fold and includes an estuary program along with Atlantic reef restoration.

The foundationís partnership with Martin County will fall under the general guidelines of our Reefs Around The World Grant Program. As such, Martin County qualifies for a 40% reduced price off Reef Ball molds, a 10% discount off finished Reef Balls, and a 1/3 reduction off Reef Ball training fees.

It will be in your programs best interest to confer with us about the parameters of your project, so you can select the most appropriate size molds/Reef Balls for your project. Please call and we will be happy to assist in designing the ideal program for your specific goals. We also ask that you implement a monitoring program and send us press clippings and periodic progress reports pertinent to Reef Ball activities-2 monitorings per year for 3 years.
