Best Overall Project 1998  - SPARS (Sidney, British Columbia, Canada)

• April 2004 Legislative Update: Sidney – The town will receive approximately $581,000 to add a 100-foot extension to the existing 450-foot fishing pier, including an additional 50-foot by 180-foot wide crosshead. The project also includes continuation of the reef ball project by locating 200 small and 250 large reef balls approximately 45 metres from the pier to improve habitat for sea-life. The project’s total eligible cost for program funding is more than $871,000 (pending environmental assessment).
